VIC Hadfield, sailed into the Detroit zone and nailed Paul Henderson. The only thing wrong was that boarding was obvious to everyone in the house, including the referee. The time was an even five minutes of the third period and the score stood at 2-2. Just as Vic came back on the ice, Bruce MacGregor scored to put the Red Wings ahead of New York. The chastened Blue shirt strongman was downhearted when he came back to the New York bench and was determined to make amends on his next shift. When his line went on, he was fore checking in the Detroit zone, when the puck went into the corner. He and the great Wing veteran Ted Lindsay went after it.
