Curtis Joseph is no Dominik Hasek. Then again, the Detroit Red Wings are no Toronto Maple Leafs…or Edmonton Oilers…or St. Louis Blues. Those are the three teams Joseph carried on his back the past 13 seasons with a reasonable degree of success, but never to the promised land - the Stanley Cup. Not even an appearance in the final, for that matter. Now he’s a Red Wing. And in Detroit you don’t need to be Superman if you’re the goalie.
