Record Crowd Of Fresno Fans Jam Rink To Rafters

FRESNO, CALIF.— The Fresno Ice Rink, home of the Fresno Falcons in the Southern Division of the Pacific Coast Hockey League, has a seating capacity of 3.508, but that didn’t stop, tablishing a new attendance mark recently when 3,741 sequeczed their way into the rink to see their beloved Falcons trounce invading Seattle 8-2. This was the largest crowd to ever see a hockey game in Fresno. One week later, January 17 the second largest crowd in the rink’s history-3,538 witnessed the Fresno-Los Angeles battle. In the short time hockey has been played in Fresno (second season in the P.C.H.L.) the Fres-noltes have taken to the puck and stick game by leaps and founds. Largest Crowd When the Pla-Mors played hosts and defeated the League leading Minneapolis Millers on January 18, a throng of 4,306 filed through the turnstiles to watch the home town Kannas City club. The attendance marked the largest of the current season in Kansas City. Top Pointmen Mike McMahon’s snipers from Houston are leading the league in goals scored so far this year. The Huskies have beaten rival netminders 185 times in 40 games. Next in line is Minneapolis, Northern Division leaders, with 174 goals in 41 games.
