Need for grit, size on wing makes Corson newest Star
The risk was low and the upside high, so the Stars addressed their need for a gritty left winger by signing free agent Shayne Corson. Corson was last seen leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs in the middle of the 2003 playoffs, a departure Corson attributes to health reasons. He was also a healthy scratch at the time. “He’s a big power forward we could add without trading anybody or picks,” said coach Dave Tippett. “The past is the past.
