Power outage continues
The Pittsburgh Penguins often send five millionaires over the boards when they get a power play and challenge their opponents with some of the most lethal talent in the game. But they can’t find anybody who can turn those power plays into goals. “Special teams win or lose games for you,” said coach Ed Johnston. “Right now, our power play hasn’t won anything for us.” The Penguins broke out of a 2-for-34 power-play slump during the second weekend in March, but nobody accused the power play of overachieving in those games.
