Chrysler Rookie Award

A regular feature of the Chrysler Scoreboard each week will be the Rookie Spotlight. This week’s profile is of Philadelphia Flyer Dave Poulin. ONTARIO LEAGUE The Ottawa 67s might not be involved in a three-way dogfight with Peterborough and Toronto for first place in the Leyden Division of the Ontario Hockey League if it wasn’t for the brilliant goaltending of Greg Coram. The 19-year-old netminder has won 10 of his 12 starts this season and recorded three shutouts while leading Ottawa to a 13-3-1 record. Coram shut out Sudbury 7-0 to keep the 67s in first place and win the nod as the OHL’s Player of the Week. Pro teams have by passed the youngster the past two years at draft time but not because of his size. At 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, Coram is bigger than most pro goalies. His outstanding play and league-leading 2.54 goals-against average may bring the pro scouts back to his doorstep. WESTERN…
