’81-82 Fearless Forecast ANOTHER HOCKEY SEASON already? Didn’t the Islanders just beat the North Stars the other day? Aren’t sports fans more concerned with the baseball playoffs and Monday night football parties? Anyway, if you are, I’m up for another Fearless Fleischman Forecast. Patrick Division 1. New York Islanders: No doubt about the NHL’s class team — two Stanley Cups in a row and a third on the way. The Islanders’ have some serious internal problems — Bob Bourne only recently signed after a long holdout and Denis Potvin, Mike Bossy and John Tonelli are playing out their options — but on the ice they’re pros. 2. Watt needs all the help he can get. Patient, fair and approachable, Watt is creating an atmosphere of trust among his players and hope among fans who want to believe he is a man capable of turning this team into a credible force in the NHL. An educator, he seems ideally…
