Dick Redmond, D. and Bob MacMillan, RW, and Blues’ second round draft choice in 1979. BOSTON—Gerry Cheevers, G, returned to lineup from injury list. The Life Of A Loser… HIS CLUB HAD failed to win for the 17th straight game and the Washington Capitals’ coach Tommy McVie stood outside the dressing room looking like he had lost his best friend. An old friend asked if he and his club were becoming discouraged. The little guy tilted his head a little, his eyes narrowed a little, and he said, “I wouldn’t say it, but if you ask me, I have to tell the truth.
