Surprises Mark First NHL Week; Perreault Hot MONTREAL— Some of the following facts might be difficult to believe but they are true following the first week of the 1974-75 National Hockey League season: • Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins. New York Islanders, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs — all undefeated with the Kings and Leafs leading the James Norris and Charles F. Adams Divisions. respectively, with five of six possible points. • A goaltender for California Seals in his first NHL start recording a shutout and. in doing so. Gary Simmons equalled the total shutouts recorded by Seals in their 78 games last season — Gilles Meloche got that one. • Boston Bruins last in the Charles F. Adams Division with one tie in two starts and outscored 11-7. • Montreal Canadiens, while also undefeated,…
