FAN FORUM

U.S. Fans Miss Out On Hockey Telecasts This is probably just one of many letters you receive complaining about the injustice hockey receives from the television networks. Hockey is the fastest growing sport in the United States today and yet we are lucky to see one game a week which starts almost at the halfway point in the season and one game a week in the playoffs. Why can’t hockey be like baseball and get all the games covered? This year, hockey fans in San Diego won’t get to see Bobby Orr rushing up the ice as KGTV Channel 10 has decided not to put on the nationally televised games although they have been advertising it for weeks. Larry Bignell, Ralph Keller, Gerry Methe, Dennis Owchar, Duane Rupp, Jack Lynch,…

I liked it in Pittsburgh. They treated me well and the fans treated me well. “I’d have no regrets if I was traded back there right now,” Rutherford said. There isn’t much chance of that, though. Once rejected by general manager…
