Staying Close to Top Difficult As Swords’ Injuries Continue
CINCINNATI — If the Cincinnati Swords are still with in striking distance of Hershey after their current road trip, coach Floyd Smith thinks they’ll have an excellent chance of repeating as division champs. But staying within range of the Bears — and, for that matter, keeping ahead of Baltimore, as the Swords were when 1974 began — may be difficult. Every hockey club has injuries from time to time, but the Swords have had far more than their share.
