Milford Hoping Williams’ Speed Pays Off
LOS ANGELES — At 57, Jake Milford says, “I didn’t want the aggravation, but now that I’m stuck with it I’m going to bust my butt to do a job.” Hired as assistant general manager to Larry Regan this season, the long-time minor league manager was disappointed to find himself selling tickets instead of doing hockey business. Then in December he was flown out to help out coach Bob Pulford on a road trip, then brought back to fill in for Regan, who resigned and went scouting to finish out the season.
