Record-Setter Bradley Hopes Travelling Days Are Over
SALT LAKE CITY.— The dispatcher at the moving company seems to have misplaced Lyle Bradley’s current address, which is just fine with Lyle and his wife Becky. If anyone’s happier about it, it’s the Salt Lake Golden Eagles and their fans. The 5-9, 165-pound center from Lloydminster, Sask., recently broke the Eagles’ points record with his 154th and 155th points on a pair of assists in his 145th game. The former record of 154 points was set in 149 games by Guyle Fielder. It’s ironic that Bradley came to the Eagles from the Portland Buckaroos in a trade for Fielder in January of 1972. It is the latest, and the 30-year-old center hopes the last, in a series of deals which has kept him on the move. After centering the Denver University Pioneers to third place…

Healthy Hawk Frigon Gets Top IHL Billing
MUSKEGON. — Lou Frigon is almost two seasons behind his time schedule but for the first time since 1971 he’s healthy at the start of the International Hockey League campaign and the Muskegon Mohawks are reaping benefits. The 23-year-old center has replaced departed Gary Ford as the Mohawks’ scoring leader and moved to No. I in the league scoring department after the first month. He averaged 1 ½ points per game for the first 16 and, at that pace, easily will surpass 100 for the first time in the IHL. A point pergame pace is nothing new because hestarted the season with 36 goals and 56 assists for 92 points in 90 games for coach Moose Lallo. He had 13 goals and 11 assists for 16 games this year. Frigon shows no effects…

Tulsa Loses Edge And Top Scorer
TULSA— Just when the Tulsa Oilers seemed to have found themselves, putting an end to a disastrous home ice jinx, they lost their top scorer and one of the club’s best checkers. Right wing Bob Duncan suffered a broken wrist in practice, Nov. 13, and was expected to miss six weeks of action. The loss was expected to be felt greatly in the scoring department, but general manager-coach Ray Miron was counting on the club’s recently-proven defensive ability to hold the opposition close. “We’ll play a defensive type game, and just have to figure on a few of the others getting enough goals to win.” he said after Duncan’s injury. So what happened? At home against Fort Worth. Nov. 16, the Oilers blew an early 4-0 lead, and finally had to come from…

FAN FORUM
NHL Better Beware WHA Creeping Up Who is the NHL trying to fool? We all miss Ken Dryden as much as the WHA needs Bobby Hull. Maybe Scotty Bowman can say they “have to do without him,” but where will they finish this year without him? So let’s get with it NHL. You will be playing second fiddle in hockey within five years if you don’t smarten up now! A.S. MACDONALD, St. Margarets, N.B. Should Boycott WHA Games I would like to suggest to all hockey fans in the U.S. and Canada not to attend any WHA games! Look what this league has done: 1) Pushed salaries of players way up so all they care about is money: 2) Because of this, ticket prices have gone way up: 3) Coaches can’t push the players or they will…
