Iowa Stars Do Turnabout To Challenge Leaders
WATERLOO— The Iowa Stars had just dropped a sloppy 8-7 verdict to the Blazers at Oklahoma City and Iowa general manager John Muckier was miffed. “We haven’t been hitting people and we’ve been giving up too many goals,” he said as his club was about to embark on a weekend series that included games against the CHL co-leaders, Fort Worth and Omaha. “If we don’t do a turnabout, and soon, we can kiss a playoff spot goodbye, because Oklahoma City is making a run at us right now.” His words did not fall on deaf ears.
