Player Rosters Should Be Found in Summary Hockey News Editor: I am enjoying my third year as a subscriber of your fine publication. Your paper is most interesting and is a must for every hockey fan who wants to keep abreast of the world of hockey I’ve never had reason to take fault with your weekly. However, there is one beef I’d like to air. I am deeply disappointed with your National League summary page. Unlike past years you have omitted team rosters preceding a game report. I believe one of the main features of a summary is the roster which helps the reader inentify player changes and new players. NHL Player Of The Week — IN THE EAST
For three seasons Dave Dryden has been shuffling back and forth between Chicago Black Hawks and their various minor league affiliates, waiting for chance to break into the mar jors in a full-time capacity. But Dryden’s other two outings were shutouts, 2-0 and 6-0, both over Minnesota North Stars. In neither of his…

HERSHEY, Pa. — The latest strategy of the Hershey Bears’ opponents is obvious stop the high scoring line of Michel Harvey, Gil Gilbert and Chuck Hamilton and you stop the Bears. In four oi five games from Nov. 6 to Nov. 16, the opposition threw a close-checking game at Gilbert Co. and coach Frank Mathers’ crew lost three, escaping with a tie in the other shinny match. As evidence to the opponent’s strategy consider that in Hershey’s first eight games, Gilbert and his linemates compiled a whopping 48 points on 19 goals and 29 assists to lead the club to seven victories and top spot in the American League’s Eastern Division. Harvey had three game winners in the stretch. The line’s individual point breakdown in the eight game span was: Harvey, 9-8-17; Gilbert, 8-8-16,…
