• TORONTO—THOMAS (WINDY) O’Neill, onetime Toronto Maple Leaf hockey player and now a prominent Toronto lawyer, is organizing a group of hockey season ticket holders to sit down during the playing of God Save The Queen that precedes games at Maple Leaf Gardens. Irwin Changes Togs As Reds Run Ended

PROVIDENCE, R. I. Ivan Irwin, chilly coach of the Rhode Island Reds, finally has changed out of a favorite summer business suit into warmer winter toggery. The Reds’ coach started the season by wearing a light, summer suit to the Reds’ opening game on Oct. 15th. It wasn’t out of place, for weather in Providence was unseasonably warm for October. The Reds won that one, defeating the Rochester Americans, 3-2, in overtime. Two nights later he wore it again, and though a bit chillier, he managed to hang on while the Roosters rolled to another extrasession triumph, by the same score, 3-2, over nersney. Now Irwin, the former great defenseman of the Reds, is not known to be overly superstitious, but he just couldn’t resist keeping things status quo a bit longer. “After all,” he…
