PITTSBURGH, Pa.— It’s quite conceivable that John H. Harris, who owns the American Hockey League franchise here, would do just about anything to improve a club which has been floundering in the western division cellar all season. But just why he would get rid of one of his better players in a move to shake up a doldrums-ridden club has the fans hereabouts buzzing around a lot more than the Hornets have in four months. Harris fired Larry Regan, his player-coach, in a sudden move February 17, following a 4-1 loss to Rochester. The loss of Regan leaves a big gap in the Hornet ranks.
