Spokane Comets Back Kilburn As Fan Sues Colin For $50,000
SPOKANE, Wash. — An ired hockey fan, who claims he was clipped on the button by Spokane Comets Coach Colin Kilburn is suing the club and Kilburn for $50,000. Bill S. Carr of Seattle says in his suit that Colin aimed several punches at him after the Spokane-Seattle game Jan. 15, and the blows caused a concussion, aggravated an old back injury and caused him to lose several days of work. Roy McBride, general manager of the Spokane club, declined comment but indicated the club will back his coach. At the time of the incident, McBride said police protection was very inadequate and his club had to fight its way through rioting fans to reach its dressingroom.…


DeLisle Maps Plans For ‘62 For Muskegon
MUSKEGON, Mich. — Jerry DeLisle, Muskegon Zephyr general manager, member of the International Hockey League’s Eastern Division, is a man of strong character. He’s had clubs in New Haven, Washington and now Muskegon. With each one, he’s shown 100% enthusiasm. Earlier in the season, DeLisle was so wrapped up in a game, he went on the ice after an official i for calling a play against his club. Topper Gets 400th Assist Zellio Toppazzini of Providence, who is making a remarkable comeback this season after being inactive in 1959-60, scored the 400th assist of his regular season American Hockey League career on February 1st against Buffalo. Gamble Has Big Night Dick Gamble, veteran left wing of Buffalo had one of the biggest games of his long career on February 1 against Providence, when he scored five points on three goals and a pair of assists.
