Howie Glover and Pete Conacher were available for spare forward duties and the Bison defense was five strong with Ivan Irwin returning to join Capt. Gus Mortson, Ron Ingram, Wayne Hillman, and Frank Martin. Then the dark clouds began to roll in. Bailey became involved in the stick struggle with Springfield’s Ted Harris which resulted in a 12-game…
Player-of-the-Week
PROVIDENCE, R.l.—The Providence Reds crept to within four points of the league leading Springfield Indians last week, by winning two and dropping one. The other brother, Eddie, plays on a line with Rudy and veteran NHL performer Nick Mickoski. Last week the Reds defeated the Buffalo Bisons right in Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo by a 8-2 score. Rudy netted one goal and picked up two assists for a total of three points. On December 20 as the Reds defeated the Hershey Bears 3-2 in overtime, Rudy scored two goals, the second and the winner at 2:20 of the overtime period. It was the fifth 3-2 game…
