Kilburn Joins Flyers After Getting Gate From Victoria
WINNIPEG, Man.—It isn’t of the Western League variety but can’t help putting in a plug for the good people of Melville, Sask, who threw quite a reunion for the old boys last week in conjunction with the annual Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League All-Star bash … The appearance of Chester Harris all the way from Chicago made the lineup of the 1923-24 champion Millionaires complete at the festivities … Then there was Moose Callen, all the way back from the ’13-14 team … The Abels, the Juckes, the Kotzmas and so on were of course all there too… So the seasons go by and now Colin Kilburn, disgusted at the way they treated his efforts to keep hockey alive in Victoria, is back where he started — with the Edmonton Flyers…

Two of the main reasons for Washington’s outstanding showing so far is the scoring antics of Center Wally Kullman and winger Steve Kuzma. Kullman, at last check, was eighth in…

In the short space of several days they made these moves: Purchased Goalie Harry Lumley from the Chicago Black Hawks to replace Al Millar as the substitute for the injured Don Simmons. Recalled Forward Buddy Boone from the Springfield Indians. Optioned Defensemen Bob Armstrong and Jack Bionda to Springfield. Returned Millar to the Quebec Aces: Patrick Praises Millar A week before he bought Lumley, Patrick had made arrangements with Chicago for the 31-year old veteran to…
