Rangers’ Fan Club Grows Up To 2,000; May Sponsor Loop

NEW YORK, N.Y.— The biggest hockey fan club in the world, the Rangers Fan Club, is eight years old today, but the Blues boosters won’t start celebrating until January 25 th. That’s when approximately 300 members embark on their greatest venture, a 500mile trip to Toronto to see their favorites battle the Maple Leafs. Chances are there would be more aboard but Maple Leaf Gardens, with most seats sold on a season plan, can accomodate only a limited number of visitors. There are more than 2,000 members in the Rangers Fan Club with 3,000 the membership goal for 1958. Such an imposing registration would have been unthinkable during the 19 50-51’ campaign when the Fan Club was founded.
