Grace Blows Top Over Proposal To Ouster Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, O.— Protests and a move to shove the Cincinnati Mohawks out of the International League because they’re too powerful, has steamed up Cincinnati president Tom Grace. Grace, speaking at a league meeting in connection with a decision taking away two of his club’s victories and with proposals made by Toledo and Troy, clubs that Cincinnati be ousted from the league, told the meeting that “we don’t want to be legislated into a state of mediocrity.” The Mohawks have won the league championship for five straight seasons. They are an affiliate club of the Montreal Canadians of the National Hockey League.
