High-Scoring Tessier Joins Indians
SPRINGFIELD. Mass.— Orval Tessier, a temperamental gentleman who could odd winning punch to the Springfield Indians attack, has ended his hold-out. He Relents The 24-year-old right winger—leading scorer. In the Quebec Hockey League last season was an unusual holdout. He went home during the Springfield team’s training period because he warned to play-in Canada again. The Boston Bruins, however, refused to use him in Quebec. They wanted him in Springfield this year and he finally has relented. Hawks Should Make Playoffs If Able To Maintain Present Pace
CHICAGO. III. — With the first month of the 1957-58 National Hockey League and their first 10 games in the record the Black Hawgs have registered sound improvements in every department. While the biggest hunk of the campaign is still ahead, continued performance at this pace should get the club into the playoffs.
