Outscored Quebec Aces hold a 3-2 lead over Chicoutimi but the Chicks have outscored the Aces 20-17 in the five games. Dependable Flame’ Hits Peak In Playoffs

BOSTON, Mass.— In the pressurized test of player productivity which is the Stanley Cup playoffs one member of the Boston Bruins has won high grades again. He’s Fleming Mackell, a playoff participant since the spring of 1949. Over the years Mackell has displayed a decided knack for hitting new heights in the playoffs. This spring he ran to form by following a fine regular season with a series of spectacular playoff performances. In the Bruins’ semi-final series with the Detroit Red Wings the stocky left wing played well, but in their final series with the Montreal Canadiens he was their dominating figure.
