WIHL Has Visions Of Allan Cup Spot
TRAIL, B.C.— The Western International Hockey League, this year hoping to represent the west in the Allan cup final, is pinning its hopes on Spokane Flyers and Trail Smoke Eaters, with an outside chance given to Nelson Maple Leafs, to bring the league this honor. Flyers can thank a fast start and three straight early season victories over Trail for their present four-point edge on the Smokies. Flyers opened the season with five-straight wins while Smoke Eaters were winning one of seven. However, Smokies moved into a contending position with an eight-game winning skein which included two wins over Spokane. Smokies added another win over Spokane Thursday…

Powerful Bulldogs Capture Top Spot In Senior Scramble
STRATFORD, Ont.— Windsor Bulldogs finally forged to the top of the heap in the western group of the senior “A” OHA, by winning four of five games played during the week, and piling up a total of 29 goals while having but six scored against them. Windsor climbed ahead of Stratford Indians, who have been leading the parade for the last month, when the two teams tangled in Windsor, and the Bulldogs came through with a 5-2 victory. Previously Windsor had clobbered Kitchener Dutchmen 10-1 and Chatham Maroons 10-2. The uncertainty of the games can be judged from other results. For instance, Kitchener walloped the lowly Owen Sound Mercurys 13-3, and three nights later Owen Sound blanked Windsor 1-0. Stratford broke even in four games, defeating Owen Sound 5-2 and Kitchener 6-3 in overtime,…
