Player-of-the-Week

Lome Ferguson has come into his own! After years of frustration, during which time he was up and down from Hershey to Boston like a yo-yo, the young Boston Bruins’ forward has finally found the formula for sticking under hockey’s big top. Not only has Ferguson found the formula this season but he has found out how to employ it in a scoring sense. Last week “Fergie” picked up exactly half of his team’s goal output. He scored four goals while the entire Boston club was good for only eight in winning two of three games. Four Team Battle Shaping Up For OH A Senior Championship

STRATFORD, Ont.— Turning over a new leaf in the new year, Stratford Indians became red hot and at time of writing had run up a skein of seven wins and one tie for an undefeated record for the month of January. Included in the string were a 13-3 win over Niagara, Falls Cataracts and a 9-0 whitewash of the Windsor Bulldogs. The Indians’ only blot on the escutcheon was a 4-4 overtime tie with Mercurys at Owen Sound. The Stratford victory streak changed the senior “A” O.H.A. picture from a three-club battle for the top spot between Kitchener, Owen Sound and Windsor into a four-club race by the addition of Stratford. Windsor Bulldogs, with the next best record since the start of the year, lead the fourth-place Indians by four points, while Kitchener…
