1 — Anyone Is eligible to cast ballots for the National Hockey League All Star Team, but each reader may submit ONLY ONE ENTRY, naming first, second and third choices. 2 — One ballot will appear each week in the following order: goaltender, defensemen, right wing, center, left wing and coach. Final ballot will appear in the March 22 issue. 3 — Ballots for the choice of three players at each position (six for defensemen) must be filled in as indicated, with the names of players and their clubs. Use blanks published each week, or reasonable facsimiles or tracings of same if you do not wish to deface your copy. McNeil Loses Eleven Qames by One Goal

Montreal — It’s no secret that Dick Irvin thinks Gerry McNeil is a much better goaler than Al Rollins or the Leafs. In the last All-Star game in Toronto, Irvin, picking the players for his second team ignored Rollins, the V ezina Cup Winner in favor of McNeil. “I’m not prejudiced at all nor am I being prejudiced in this case. I just believe McNeil is a better goaler than Rollins,” said Irvin. This week Irvin made another statement comparing the pair. “McNeil is still a better goaler by far than Rollins. DETROIT, Mich.— As befitting a powerful champion which has set the pace all the way, Detroit Red Wings clinched their fourth straight National Hockey League title the “easy” way. The crown came to them on March 5. a date upon which none of the Detroiters shot a goal, or even put on a uniform. Instead, they were priming to clinch the title on March S in a home game against Boston when Montreal Canadiens. last remaining challengers, backed out of the contention.
