Hanks Get Five For Four In Deal
Chicago. Ill.— The biggest deal in the history of the National Hockey League was completed just as we went to press. The Chicago Black Hawks sent Metro Prystai, Gaye Stewart, Bob Goldham and Sugar Jim Henry to the Wings in exchange for Harry Lumley, Jack Stewart, Al Dewsbury, Pete Babando and Don Morrison. The deal, which was rumoured on the fire for quite some time, is the biggest since Max Bentley was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs for five players. The main figure in the deal of course was Metro Prystai. However it proved that Bill Tobin and Ebbie Goodfellow aren’t kidding when they said there would be a wholesale shakeup in the Hawks before the new season gets underway. NEW YORK. N.Y.— “Coaching hockey in the minors,” quoth Neil Colville, “is no picnic. The coaching part of it is allright. But that’s miscellaneous. I’m nurse-maid, father-confessor, entertainment director, traveling secretary and a lot of other things all rolled into one. “Would you believe it?” Neil went on. “One of my boys came up to me once and asked me to fix a parking ticket.
