Big Money The winners of the Northern and Southern section of the Pacific Coast League will each receive $1,600 to divide among the players amounting to $100 per man. Hub Fans Wonder What’s Wrong As Bruins Blow Hot And Cold

BOSTON. Mass.— After starting the present season like a house afire, winning 11, tying two and losing only three of their first 15 games, the Boston Bruins went into a slump and are now struggling to keep in second place in the N.H.L. standings. Some hockey observers believe that the Bruins were far ahead of the other teams when the campaign got underway because they were in better condition, but once other squads got into shape, their superiority disappeared and the Bostonians were just another hockey team. This school of thought is easily refuted when you take into consideration the fact that the Bruins are always the last club to begin pre-season training.
