Kenny Mosdell, who fired four goals, to lead his team to two important victories during the past week, has been named Player-Of-The-Week by THE HOCKEY NEWS and is also the winner of the Morgan Hat award. In a 3-0 pasting the Canadiens handed the Toronto Maple Leafs last Thursday, netted the first and third goals on breakaways while his team was a man short. Two nights later Mosdell scored another pair of markers when the Habs downed the lowly New York Rangers 3-1. Kenny scored the cond and third goals in this fray, one of them a breakaway when his team was a man short. Bear Boosters Young But Active

HERSHEY, Pa.—The Hershey Bears Booster Club is one of the newest in the American Hockey League, but already is one of the busiest. The club, under its blonde and pretty President May Spence, is six months old now. Already the Boosters have taken four road trips with the team, entertained at two parties, and instituted a gift-giving project. In the awards department, the Booster Club has set up a program of offering presents to the goaltender for a shut-out; for the forwards when they make hat-tricks; and to defensemen who make two goals in one game. Among those collecting to date have been Frankie Mario, Gordie Bruce, Herb Cain, Roly McLenahan, Andy Branigan and of course, Gordie Henry.…

Max Bentley Now In Crosby’s Class

MONTREAL, Que.—Toronto’s Max Bentley can keep the colt presented him by appreciative fans, but he won’t be able to patronize the pari-mutuel on behalf of his nag. That”s the ruling laid down by N.H.L. President Clarence Campbell. The President said that the League has no objections to Max keeping the colt and entering it in any races he likes, but he can’t lay any bets. The President was referring to the league’s antigambling rules which forbid players to gamble in any form. Bentley, a star forward with Toronto Maple Leafs, was given the yearling by a Toronto breeder for scoring a goal against Detroit Red Wings at Toronto in a recent game. “Racing a horse doesn’t make a gambler out of a person,” said Campbell. “But if you bet on them that’s different.’…
