MONTREAL, Que.— I doubt very much if there is a man in this world more wrapped up in sport than Bill Head, the Montreal Canadiens physiotherapist. Last season alone over 2,000 hockey players, ranging from junior to professional, went to Bill for treatment. But that’s only a portion of his patients. Besides taking care of players from eight different hockey teams he has wrestlers, boxers and baseball players to worry about. Among his most consistent guests are: Kenny Reardon, Bill Durnan, Elmer Lach and Maurice Richard of Les Canadiens, Bobby Managoff, Larry Moquin and Yvon Robert, top flight professional wrestlers, and many notable boxers and baseball players. Paul Courteau of the Springfield Indians in the American Hockey League, besides being one of the finest playmaking centers in the circuit, is also noted for his “funny man” acts in skating. During a recent Springfield game, the Indian goaltender Don O’Hearn was injured and had to leave the ice for repairs. Courteau kept the crowd entertained for the brief time out period by performing his comical antics.…
