Stratford Indians are the “bouncing babi es of the Ontario Hockey Association’s Senior “A” series. After absorbing a 7-0 defeat in Hamilton on Nov. 6, they came right back before the home fans two days later with a 7-2 win over Owen Sound. From last place, after the Hamilton defeat, to third place after the Owen Sound victory is some bounce. But that’s the way the five team Senior “A” group has been going this season. Eddie Sandford Headed For Stardom
MONTREAL, Que.— “I’ve been watching the kid ever since he started playing hockey and he can’t miss being a great star,” was the terse reply given by Charlie Conacher, coach of Chicago Black Hawks, when asked what he thought of the present N.H.L. scoring wizard, Ed Sandford of Boston. Charlie is not alone in his opinion, as the 20-year-old Bruins center, has been earmaked for stardom ever since he began playing organized hockey as a bantam at 13.
