A YOUNG WAVE OF SUPPORT
THE STRENGTH of this team is in its youthful core: Norris Trophy winner P.K. Subban, goalie Carey Price, Max Pacioretty, Brendan Gallagher and Alex Galchenyuk. They will get plenty of support from Danny Briere, Tomas Plekanec, Brian Gionta, Rene Bourque and David Desharnais. After Subban, Andrei Markov is also capable of Norris-like play. Expect Price to rebound nicely. TOP 10 PROSPECTS *Bold indicates good candidate for 2013-14 roster POWER ZONE Looking to dominate your pool in various categories? Here is our ranking of the top 25 players at each position…
WAITING FOR YOUTH BRIGADE
THE PANTHERS need some of their top prospects, especially at center, to pan out. Tomas Fleischmann, Tomas Kopecky and Shawn Matthias are all solid contributors, while Jonathan Huberdeau is a future star. Brian Campbell and Dmitry Kulikov provide offense from the back end, but they need to stabilize things more in their own end. It’s now Jacob Markstrom’s crease to lose.
