Fresh Start With Stars

Signing with Edmonton looked like the perfect return to his native Alberta for Sheldon Souray. But after striking out with the Oilers, the 35-year-old is hoping for a fresh start in Dallas. “I know a lot of people who have played here and I’ve heard a lot of good things,” said Souray, who was bought out in the summer by the Oilers after an ugly season in which he was banished to the minors. “I just think this is a good place for me.” The past two seasons, Souray was bothered by concussion and hand injuries.
