Cody Hodgson wasn’t going to pretend he liked sitting out Game 7 against Chicago. We can only imagine the tension and angst that would have existed, at the CBC and in living rooms of married puck fans everywhere, had Kate and Will tied the knot during Game 7 overtime of the Chicago-Vancouver series. Kidding aside, the mammoth wedding and hockey’s post-season share a key benefit when it comes to the unwashed masses: reality relief.
